Won Hyo

Won-Hyo was a noted Buddhist monk and poet who introduced Buddhism to Korea during the Silla Dynasty in 686 CE.

Start from closed Ready Stance (A)

1. Turn 90° to you left, step into a back stance -square block.
2. With your right hand execute a reverse out-in knife hand strike, while bringing left fist to right shoulder
3. Moving your left foot step into a horse stance and execute a middle side punch.
4. Bring left foot back to the right foot, turn 180° right and step into a back stance – square block.
5. With your left hand execute a reverse out-in knife hand strike, while bringing right fist to left shoulder
6. Moving your right foot, step into a horse stance and execute a middle side punch.
7. Bring right foot back beside left foot, turn 90° to the right and execute a middle guarding block.
8. left front leg side kick
9. Step down into a back stance- knife hand guarding block
10. Step froward into a back stance- knife hand guarding block
11. Step froward into a back stance- knife hand guarding block
12. Step forward front stance- protected vertical spear hand. Kihap!
13. Turn 270° left, step into a back stance -square block.
14. With your right hand execute a reverse out-in knife hand strike, while bringing left fist to right shoulder
15. Moving your left foot step into a horse stance and execute a middle side punch.
16. Bring left foot back to the right foot, turn 180° right and step into a back stance – square block.
17. With your left hand execute a reverse out-in knife hand strike, while bringing right fist to left shoulder
18. Moving your right foot, step into a horse stance and execute a middle side punch.
19. Turn your attention 90° to left. Slide right foot back to left foot, then step forward with left foot into a front stance, execute a scooping block with your right arm.
20. Execute right front kick.
20a. Step down into a front stance, execute a reverse middle punch.
20b. Scooping block with left arm.
21. Front kick step down into a front stance reverse middle punch
22. Rear leg side kick. Kihap!
23. Lower right foot beside left foot and rotate 270° to the left, step with left foot into back stance-guarding block
24. Turn 180° to the right, slide left foot to right foot, then step with left foot into a back stance-guarding block.

Move right foot back into Ready Stance (A)
